Those Days Were Wonderful

Those days were wonderful..
We never cared a damn
come what may
No inhibition no string
Pure and pristine calm
No murmur No cravings
No ego ever battered
salvage was quick and flattered

Wishes were horses then
Never saw a reason to explain.
Just jumped and take the reign.
Shorn of thinking even a grain
Now everything so clichéd
Even ideas are filched

Wishes are still horses
But it is dead and waning
Embraced slumber despite canning
Not to mention the timidity
Leaving all to serendipity..

Very often when you think
People stare and you blink.
Clueless, emaciated and exposed
Recluse, foolish and juxtaposed.
Thoughts yet to bring to the fore..
Gets deep buried within the core
We sigh and say with expression so cool
Those days were wonderful…
